Our Commitment to Editorial Transparency
At SwitchRoute (https://switchroute.in), trust is our most valuable asset. We believe in complete transparency regarding how our research, verification infrastructure, and independent publication are funded. This disclosure explains our advertising policies and affiliate relationships in full compliance with U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines and international advertising standards.
1. Programmatic & Contextual Display Advertising
Google AdSense advertising is not currently active on SwitchRoute. If the site is accepted into the program and ads are subsequently enabled, display advertising may help support hosting, editorial research, and ongoing directory maintenance.
- Clear Identification: All advertising banners, sponsored slots, and commercial promotions on our site are clearly designated with labels such as "Advertisement" or "Sponsored".
- No Endorsement: The appearance of an advertisement on SwitchRoute does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, or recommendation of the advertised product or service by our editorial team.
- Ad Standards: We do not allow deceptive, adult, malicious, or intrusive pop-under advertisements that interfere with software exploration.
2. Affiliate Partnerships & Referral Links
Some of the external links to third-party software tools, developer platforms, cloud hosting providers, and educational resources on SwitchRoute may be affiliate links.
If you click a link that is part of an affiliate or referral programme and subsequently make a qualifying purchase or signup, SwitchRoute may receive a commission or referral benefit. Where a commission is paid, it does not increase the price charged by the provider. Offer availability, discounts, credits, and eligibility are controlled by the provider; check the linked terms before participating.
3. Strict Editorial Independence Guarantee
Commercial and referral relationships do not purchase a ranking or placement in the directory. Editorial descriptions and recommendations are intended to be based on documented product capabilities, access conditions, licensing, and user needs:
Profiles may document licence, hosting model, public repository activity, free-tier limits, and privacy information where those details can be confirmed from available sources. The fields and evidence available vary by listing; SwitchRoute is not a certification body.
Companies cannot pay to alter their rating, climb to the top of category lists, or manipulate the "Help Me Pick" matching engine.
Open-source projects are included alongside commercial software and are not excluded merely because they do not offer referral revenue.
When a source review identifies a free-plan limit, a licensing change, or a hosting constraint, the listing aims to make that limitation visible, regardless of referral relationships.
